Planet X 25 year re-union
Wednesday, June 13th, 2012Another event organised by Marc Jones was the Planet X Anti Jubilee Punk Special celebrating 25 years of Planet X. I think this is a good look for HRH, Charlie Manson eyes, a bit of crypt paint… A2 print again, silver and gold ink on black card. Hand numbered and signed edition of 60 posters. Really enjoyed making this poster too, made me revert to good old cut and paste for a change.
Medication Megatron!
Wednesday, June 13th, 2012Marc Jones from Liverpool’s Medication got in touch last month about designing and printing a run of posters celebrating their winning of the national Smirnoff Battle of the Clubs contest which culminated in a big end of term finale on Friday 1st of June. Marc wanted a vintage 50′s sci-fi feel to the poster but with the City of Liverpool featuring prominently. Here’s the result, A2 print, silver and black ink on cherry red card, hand numbered and signed edition of 60 copies.

Melodica Deathship EP launch poster
Wednesday, April 25th, 2012April was a busy week for Melodica Deathship what with gigging & promoting the new EP “The Sunken Path”. Friday the 13th of April saw the formal launch of the EP with a gig upstairs in Whelan’s, Dublin with support from Estel, Magic Pockets and Pulled Apart. Entry included a copy of the EP on CD, the CD artwork is an adapt of the LP which is winging it’s way back from the pressing plant soon – will post about that as soon as it lands. I printed 200 brown card digipacks, one side only, more on those soon. Here’s how the poster turned out – it’s a slightly tweaked version of The Island starring Michael Caine (1980)
